Twilight Fire - ATL Twilight at CampAboveTheLimit.com

Hi All,

Quick update:

Weather

Despite white-outs and heavy winds, build continues on the playa. There was
a large thunderstorm over the area Northeast of Reno yesterday that brought
violent rains into parts of Nevada. The weather out there is seriously
unpredictable.

The forecast, however, looks like a cooling trend throughout the week:
http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/USNV0033 Note that the predicted low
the night the Man burns is 54 degrees F, so please bring warm clothing for
cool evenings.

Arriving on Sunday Night / Opening Monday Morning

The official opening time is 12:01am Monday morning. However, some of you
may have heard that last year, the gates opened at 6:00pm Sunday. While the
official policy remains the same, the idea of a traffic jam backing up 20
miles from the entrance at night with tickets all sold out tends to suggest
that gates may open early again. There have already been some rumors to
that effect. Of course, that's not official policy! :-)

The Gate road from the 8-mile is long and wide this year to accommodate the
rush.

Will-call is off to the LEFT of the road this year as you approach Gate.

As always, if you're not moving, shut your engine down to conserve fuel and
reduce emissions. Have plenty of fuel on board when you get to the event in
case of delays arriving and departing.

At all times the event is open, vehicle speed inside Gate is limited to 5
miles per hour. Police with radar units may again be present!

Where Do I Park/Camp?

For those of you asking about where to go when you get to camp. I've
attached a preliminary camp map. It doesn't have many of the vehicles or
tent structures on it, but it will give you a basic idea of the general area
of where to set up.

Blue (Twilight) Zone folks already have instructions for where to go.

Purple Portland (DarkStar/ DangerGirl/ Kaya) Zone folks are at the top
center.

Green (Wallah Xana /Waza /Velveeta /Annie) Zone folks are at the corner
behind the tea house.

Light Green (Hank) Zone folks are just forward of the Green Zone and are
next to the community area.

Orange Zone is the community space.

This map was created by Kaya well before Build crew left for the playa, so
consider it general guidance for where to go.

There will be two driving corridors/ fire lanes on either side of the camp
that will allow vehicles in and out access. (Don't worry, there will be a
way to reach the Green Zone without driving through anyone.) Remember, once
parked, don't plan on moving until you're ready to leave. People who plan
on leaving Saturday night/Sunday morning need to make sure that they're not
parked in.

When you arrive, ask for Annie, DarkStar, Pez, Fallout (Kirk), Phoenix, or
Twilight for directions to your area.

Dues

If you haven't paid or made arrangements - please pay now.

Final Call for Questions

It's hard to believe that we'll all be out there in just a few days!

Your build crew will have email comms briefly during a supply run
Friday/Saturday, so there may be one final update before we're all once
again on the playa.

May you all get lots of sleep before heading out, and we look forward to
seeing you all soon!

The Man burns in NINE DAYS!!!
