Dear Friends,
Welcome to the mailing list for Above the Limit (ATL), our 2011 Burning Man camp. We’ll be camping this year with an awesome group of people who have organized some very interesting projects. We hope that you all have your tickets to the Burn since BMorg just announced that tickets have sold out. If you have extra tickets, please consider selling them to one of our campmates who needs one. To post to this list, send your message to atl2011 at eugeneweb.com.
Our camp will be located at 9:30 and A towards the edge of Black Rock City. ATL will once again build the Crystal Cavern, our public music and chill space. The Crystal Cavern will host the Saraswati Speaker Series during daytime hours and offer DJs and dancing at night.
ATL is also building the Saraswati Tea House staffed by a group of Tea Wallahs. The Wallahs will offer tea and sympathy to Burners experiencing turbulence during their Rites of Passage to expanded consciousness. The Tea House will be open day and night and we are looking for volunteers to help serve.
We are asking each camp member to please send a contribution of $100 for the expenses of running the camp. If you can give more, please do; several are giving $1000. We are relying on raising at least $6000 from $100 camp memberships. Please send your contribution within the next two weeks. Your support is essential as we are now purchasing camp supplies.
Please send your $100 contribution via our PayPal link on the ATL website Members page http://www.campabovethelimit.com/dues.html. If you can’t afford the $100 member contribution, or if you would like to donate more, please donate via our PayPal link on the ATL website Donate page http://www.campabovethelimit.com/donate.html. Or send mail to info at campabovethelimit.com for cash or check contributions.
We will be posting updates on our camp projects to this list including our camp layout plan, music schedule and the line up for the Speaker Series. Please help us with camp layout by posting information to this list about the dimensions of your car, trailer, structure, RV and/or tent so that we can complete our camp plan.
We look forward to camping with you!
