[Teahouse] Tea House @ Burning Man

Dear Tea Crew,

It’s that special time of year when we bring the Tea House to Burning Man and serve tea 24/7 on the playa for a week or so. This year, we will be setting up the Full Circle Tea House and tea bar which will be located at 9:15 @ B just off the 9:00 plaza in Camp Soft Landing. 

If you are planning to go to Burning Man this year and would like to join us, please stop by and sign up for a shift on the white board inside the Tea House. Or you can reserve shifts in advance on our online sign up form

Once the gate opens, will be doing on-playa tea training in the Tea House each day at 10 am for those who would like a tea service refresher - or just a nice cup of tea with the tea crew. We have a selection of excellent herbal and Chinese teas this year to sample. We also have some extra space in our camp if you would like to join our tea family on the playa. The Tea House advance build crew is now en route to Reno and will arrive on the playa tonight if all goes as planned. Please note that we have received an update from the Burning Man Weather Forecast Center and they are predicting severe storms in the BRC area Wednesday and Thursday with possible damaging winds, hail, flooding, and frequent lightning. If you are planning to be on the playa this year, you will want to be prepared for serious weather. We will provide direct on-playa weather reports once we arrive and get online. Should be exciting! 

We are also assembling a tea crew for the Symbiosis festival which will take place at the Woodward Reservoir outside San Francisco Sept 19-23 http://www.symbiosisgathering.com/. We have some free volunteer passes for tea servers if you are interested.
