<html><head></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; ">Dear Tea House Volunteers,<div><br></div><div>Happy New Year. Here is an update on plans for the Saraswati Tea House at Burning Man 2012. Our 2011 host camp, Camp Above the Limit, has decided not to return to the playa this year. The Tea House has been invited to join other camps, but there has been no decision so far. Talks are underway. </div><div><br></div><div>There is always the option of applying for theme camp status and make the Saraswati Tea House a stand alone art project. I would also like to see the speaker series continue. An ideal location would be on the 9:00 plaza with access to the power grid. We would build a camp just for Tea House volunteers and keep it simple. Stay tuned for updates on that plan. </div><div><br></div><div>In the meantime, if you wish to volunteer for the Saraswati Tea House this year, you will likely need to join the Burning Man ticket lottery. There is a ghastly process for tickets this year which involves registering on the Burning Man ticket site <a href="http://tickets.burningman.com/">http://tickets.burningman.com/</a> <b>before January 22nd. </b>You must enter your credit card number, select the highest price you are willing to pay, and then wait to see if you win the lottery and acquire a ticket. There are three pricing tiers from $240 to $390. </div><div><br></div><div>If you get unlucky, there is a second main sale for tickets in March. Tickets are limited to two per person. If you get tickets and do not plan on using them, please let me know and we will purchase them to distribute to Tea House Volunteers. </div><div><br></div><div>If you have suggestions for this year's Saraswati Tea House, please weigh in. Anything is possible. The man burns in 229 days. </div><div><br></div><div>--Annie</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div></body></html>
