This picture was taken from the confluence of the Long Tom River and the Indian Creek channel. Year by year surging waters undercut the bank, which enivitably cause portions of the path to sluff into the river. As you can see, erosion has produced this nearly vertical wall about twenty feet in height. Booths that stood on the riverside of the path have long since disappeared. Discussion is underway on what the best course of action to be taken is now that the path itself has become threatened. |
