Jill's Covered Crossing

Jill's Crossing was built in 1991 to link the old Eight with the new Left Bank. It commemorates Jill Heiman, who played a major role in acquiring our Land as one of the Fair's original attorneys. Winter weather in western Oregon takes a toll on wooden structures unless they are protected, but unfortunately this cover came almost ten years after the original construction. Hopefully it will still help extend the service of the bridge for several more years at least.
