Mushroom Bloom

These are Tawny Almond Waxy Caps (Hygrophorus bakerensis), also known as Mount Baker Waxy Caps. Although edible they have poor flavor. They are common in the western states and are found in the Autumn under conifers, either scattered or grouped as in this example.
