The schedule of KGS bot tournaments for 2011 is at last available, at
http://www.weddslist.com/kgs/future.html
It is similar to last year's schedule, with mostly 19x19 games, some
9x9, and a few 13x13.
The monthly tournaments alternate between 16:00 UTC start (suitable for
Europeans and Americans) and 08:00 start (suitable for East Asians and
Europeans). As I live in Europe, I cannot easily supervise an event
which takes place while I am normally asleep.
If 19x19 monthly events were to alternate with small-board events, then
either Americans or East Asians would find it difficult to watch them.
So instead the pattern is two 19x19 events, followed by two small-board
events.
The time limits vary from event to event.
For the first time, there are four "slow" tournaments. These will all
take about five days of continuous play, and will start late on European
Sunday evenings.
I may be persuaded to change some details of the schedule, if you email
me directly or post to this list, preferably soon.
