Congratulations to Zen, winner of yesterday's bot tournament!
That tournament should never have happened, as I have explained. Most
of the players were therefore not present, and their games were decided
by forfeit, with White winning if both players were absent. However,
some players were present for at least part of the tournament, and four
games were played:
In round 3, Zen19 beat StoneGrid
In round 4, Zen19 beat PNUGo
in round 8, Zen19 beat StoneGrid and Aya beat PNUGo
Zen19 was therefore the undefeated winner, with eight wins (three of
them real) from eight games.
Zen19 was also very good at being white: it was white seven times
(including twice against StoneGrid and twice against PNUGo), and black
only once. This happens to be useful to me: I am currently trying to
persuade 'wms' that he has not yet fixed the colour-assignment bug, and
Zedn's games prove that he has not.
However, this accidental tournament will not count towards the annual
KGS bot championship.
Nick
