  It would be nice to have some page summarizing the work in this area.
Hope others will chip in with their pursuits too. :-)

My work related to this is a possibility in Pachi to (i) visualize the
win rate of given player as it evolves throughout the game from the
program's point of view (ii) offer an evaluation for each possible move
in a position, for the purpose of further visualization. You can find
details on both in the past few months of archives easily, I think.

  We have been also looking into how to examine player's games and tell
something about the player based on that (strenth, style, "pro
likeness", ...), using statistical pattern-based analysis. See the
