I don't mind at all about the thread hijacking.  But I thought that a 
discussion of byo-yomi, in a thread with "KGS bot tournament" in the 
title, might mislead someone into thinking that KGS bot tournaments use 
byo-yomi.  They don't, they use Canadian overtime.

Incidentally, I personally would prefer Fischer time to either byo-yomi 
or Canadian overtime.  But KGS does not support Fischer time, and is 
never likely to.
