[Computer-go] kgs bot interface question

Whenever a game ends with resignation by either player, my logs show that
kgs sends a sequence of

boardsize 19
kgs-time_settings

repeated several times, then stops.  Eventually the link times out and
ManyFaces restarts.  This means ManyFaces disappears for a while after some
games.

Has anyone else seen this, and if so, is there a workaround?
