I would welcome a shorter reconnect interval.  When I am running a bot 
tournament, sometimes a bot gets "stuck" (it stops making moves, I have 
no way to tell why), while its owner is away.  Often I can restart it by 
kicking it.  But in events with fast time limits, the five-minute delay 
can make this inadvisable.

You may mention this to 'wms', it might help persuade him to implement it.
