Twilight Fire - ATL Twilight at CampAboveTheLimit.com

Hi All,

Here are a few updates about camp.

OK, OK, I got the street name wrong: Above The Limit (ATL) is situated at
9:15 and *Anniversary*, not Adventure. (Freudian, perhaps--ATL is *always*
and Adventure.)

We've added some great people in the last two days, people we've known as
part of our community for a long time. We do have space for a few more
people, so if you know of anyone campless who you believe would be a good
fit with our group, by all means let them know about us.

A few words on that word "fit" as it applies to our group. We're an
interesting and diverse collection of people this year--ATLanteans from the
Days of Yore, our vibrant Portland friends, the Saraswati tea house crew,
some internationals, Rangers, and a few other pods of great people. Someone
recently said "I'm with the tea house project" -- and I wanted to make sure
we recognize that regardless of what pod we're camping around, or the focal
point(s) of our interests in camp, we're all part of a community called
Above The Limit.

We've got the great experiment that is the Tea House. We've got a
fascinating speaker series. We've got 100% fresh Kona coffee, espresso, and
latte in the morning. And we've got an audio and visual feast in the
evenings at the Cavern. So in terms of making contributions to the event,
we're doing a great job.

In between those activities, we've got a large shaded community space in the
private residential part of camp that I encourage everyone to use. We'll
also have a social on Wednesday late afternoon--look for details coming
soon--and I hope that we'll all get a chance to get acquainted as part of
this grand adventure. Your camp organizers know just how cool each member
of this camp is, and it's a great opportunity to meet new people and have a
great time together, in camp, on the playa, and beyond.

Housekeeping Stuff

With the new designs for the camp as of yesterday, we have no Costco barns
available for rent this year. They've been repurposed for our community
structure.

For those of you who have taken care of your dues or contributions in kind,
we thank you very much. For the rest, please at your earliest convenience
go to http://www.campabovethelimit.com/dues.html

If you haven't yet sent in information about the vehicles you're bringing,
the structures/tents/whatever you'll have with you, and when you're arriving
on the playa and departing the playa, please send this info to DarkStar
kaya at psyreal.net -- she's in charge of camp layout and in-camp placement. We
need this information to map out where everything goes -and- do our best to
make sure that everyone is able to leave when they want to without having
to move cars/RVs/tents/structures. This happens often out there, but we try
hard to make this not happen at ATL.

If you want a power hookup and have not already arranged it, please contact
DarkStar soonest.

On behalf of all of us working hard to make this happen, we thank you for
your participation in our efforts this year, and we look forward to seeing
you soon!

The Man burns in 19 days!
